Catnip & Carrots Animal Bunch is an all volunteer organization focusing only on cats and rabbits. Governed by a 5 member Board of Directors, we were established in July of 2005 as the resident in-store adoption partner for PetSmart Charities in Huntington Beach, CA. In November of 2006, we opened a second office in Monroe, Ohio. Though we no longer have an adoption facility, C&C continues it's mission to promote spay/neuter/microchipping, disaster preparedness education, Lost & Found services and occasionally offering emergency veterinary care to at-risk animals. We have started a new program in 2008 to equip local Fire Departments and EMS Units with specialized animal respiratory masks.
We publish a quarterly newsletter, FurrY TaleS, with a mailing list of over 250 subscribers. Our long terms goals are to purchase a mobile spay/neuter clinic, the Surf City Neuter Scooter, for the city of Huntington Beach, California and to open a low cost Spay/Neuter clinic in Monroe, Ohio.
We are an IRS 501c3 public charity and rely solely on private donations and fundraisers.
